Hotel Le Ruitor – Terms and Conditions 2010/11
Our Hotel
Le Ruitor is a 2 star hotel, as rated by the French Tourist Authority.
English and Irish owned and managed, it employs both English and French speaking staff.
We reserve the right to amend our terms and conditions when necessary.
Our Prices
All of the prices shown on our or any other web site, or in any publication, are for indication purposes only and can be subject to changes according to major price increases in the cost of goods and services supplied to Le Ruitor.All prices given are inclusive of VAT, with only the Visitors Tax not included.
For 2010/11 this is 0.65 euro per person, aged over thirteen years of age, per day at Le Ruitor.
Payment of the deposit by the client confirms the acceptance of the prices and our conditions of stay, and the reservation.
For clients booking Half Board, the first meal will be the evening dinner on the date of arrival and the last meal will be breakfast on the date of departure.
Clients who chose to leave the hotel before their confirmed departure date, at any time during their stay, are not entitled to any refund.
Our booking process
At the time of booking the client must pay an instalment of 40% of the total amount of the stay (for bookings of 4 days or more) or 100% for bookings under 4 days.
Where appropriate, the client will then receive confirmation of their booking showing:
• The dates of the stay, including the number of nights booked.
• Confirmation of any special dietary needs.
• The accommodation basis chosen, e.g. Room only, Bed and Breakfast, Half Board.
• The total cost of the stay.
• The amount of deposit received (if fewer than four nights)
• The outstanding balance due to pay, six weeks before arrival. (for more than 4 nights)
Requests for reservations made by email or telephone will be held for seven days.
If the full payment, is not received within this period the booking will be deemed to be cancelled. Le Ruitor will not be responsible for any delays that may occur within any postal service.
The balance due (for booking of more than 4 days ) must be paid at least six weeks before the beginning of the stay.
Le Ruitor accepts Visa and MasterCard credit cards and debit cards, (a 2% administrative fee will be charged to you, in line with bank policy) and personal cheques drawn on French euro bank accounts.
Payment can also be made by bank transfer. Details are available upon request.
Payment of deposit (or in full) confirms that you have read and agreed to these terms and conditions.
Cancellation by the client
For any cancellation by the client, deposits are non-refundable.
The following cancellation charges will be payable where you have booked a stay at Hotel Le Ruitor
Your notification of cancellation will only be effective when it is received by us in writing at the hotel.
Where the cancellation charge is shown as a percentage, this is calculated on the basis of the total cost payable by the person cancelling.

Le Ruitor reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards, and cancel bookings if the pre-authorisation is not valid.
The hotel also reserves the right to take payments from credit or debit cards, using details held by them, to cover any cancellation charges.
Cancellation by Le Ruitor
If we have to cancel a client’s holiday for any reason, any monies paid to Le Ruitor will be refunded.
Our Options
Le Ruitor offers clients flexibility regarding the choice of accommodation and meals, and the duration of you stay. The following explains our options are normally:
• Bed & Breakfast - Room with en-suite facilities and buffet breakfast included in the price.
• Half Board - Room with en-suite facilities, evening meal and buffet breakfast included in the price
Our Meals
We serve mainly French dishes, and a selection of regional dishes, such as Fondue, Raclette and Tartiflette. Many of our meals include regional cheeses and meats. For clients choosing accommodation with meals there is a fixed menu rotating every seven days, and the price of the clients stay has been based on this. Please note we may be able accommodate changes to the evening menu if guests inform staff by 9 am on the day of change.
Any changes to the menu, including those due to dietary or religious needs, may be subject to an additional cost and it is not always possible for us to provide special meals if not notified at time of booking.
Our meal times are as follows:
Breakfast served from 07.30 to 09.00 in winter, and 08:00 to 09:30 in summer. This is a buffet breakfast, and Le Ruitor cannot guarantee the full availability of all items for the service period, especially during the last 15 minutes. We would advise clients to arrive before 08:45 in winter or 09:15 in summer.
Dinner is served at 19:00 during winter.
Le Ruitor operates a separate à la carte restaurant open during the evenings to the public. Clients who have selected Half Board can book to eat in the restaurant, where the full menu price applies, and there is no reduction on the Half Board price. Bookings must be made before 10:00 on the day clients wish to eat in the restaurant.
Le Ruitor charges a supplement per person for special dinners served on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. These two meals are served at 20:00.
Late Arrival
Late arrival does not give place to any refunding.
Clients are booked to arrive on a specific date.
Please note that Le Ruitor staff will wait for arrivals up until 23:00, but if clients have not arrived by this time and have not contacted the hotel to discuss alternative arrangements, Le Ruitor cannot guarantee access to accommodation and it will be presumed that the client has cancelled the stay and full payment will be taken.
Clients who have booked Half Board and arrive after the evening meal has been served cannot be guaranteed an evening meal, and no refund can be given for meals not taken.
Room availability and Occupancy
Rooms are normally available at 15:00 on the specified date of arrival, and Le Ruitor requests that clients do not arrive at the hotel until 15:00.
Rooms must be vacated by 10:00 on the specified date of departure. Charges will be made if guests do not vacate their rooms by 10:00.
Please note that Le Ruitor cannot be responsible for any personal items left unattended in any area of the hotel.
Rooms booked for a specific number of occupants must not accommodate extra guests, and if clients allow extra guests to occupy their rooms, they will be charged full price for the additional occupancy.
Clients who choose to ski on their date of departure must vacate their rooms by 10:00, and Le Ruitor cannot provide secure luggage storage, nor shower facilities.
Room Cleaning
During the High Season, rooms are normally cleaned every other day. If clients require more than this, there are door hanging cards available to facilitate this. Staff reserve the right to enter the rooms for maintenance.
Smoking
Please note that all areas of the hotel are non smoking and smoking is prohibited.
Parking
Limited parking is available at the front of the hotel for the duration of your stay. The hotel cannot provide parking before 15:00 on your date of arrival, or after 10:00 on your date of departure. Vehicles are parked at the owners’ risk.
Behaviour
Le Ruitor caters for all age groups, and clients must respect this. Noise levels must be kept to a reasonable level, especially when entering or leaving the hotel in the late evening or early morning.
Clients whose behavior is deemed unacceptable by the hotel management will be asked to leave the hotel immediately, and no refunds will be given for accommodation or meals booked but not taken.
Clients will be charged for any loss or damage caused, in full.
Pets
Le Ruitor cannot accept any pet unless this has been agreed in advance with the hotel management, and a charge of 8 euro per day is applicable.
Swimming Pool
During the summer months the hotel has an exterior swimming pool open from mid morning to early evening.
Please note that this facility may be closed during periods of bad weather and if any equipment servicing the swimming pool is not functioning.
The swimming pool is not guarded and guests are responsible for ensuring that children are supervised at all times
